Bayer Superintendent Grant Program


For the ninth consecutive year, GCSAA, The Environmental Institute for Golf and Bayer Environmental Science will send five superintendents to the GCSAA Education Conference and Golf Industry Show.

The 2012 winners, drawn at random from submitted applications, are:

Frederick Brubaker, Class A Member, City Club Marietta (Ga.) CC
Alberto Canedo, Class A Member, Willowbrook Country Club, Lakeside, Calif.
Christopher Moran, Superintendent Member, Honesdale (Pa.) Golf Club
Brian Racette, Class A Member, Lincolnshire Country Club, Crete, Ill.
Taylor Werner, Superintendent Member, Club 91 Golf Course, Leigh, Neb.


The purpose of the grant is to assist golf course superintendents with their professional development through participation in the annual event. All five winners will receive airfare, hotel accommodations for five nights, conference full-pack registration, two education seminars, and $200 spending money.
