The Legacy Pro multipurpose bunker vehicle from Broyhill Inc. replaces the company’s Highlander series. With a 3x3 hydrostatic all-wheel drive with zero-turn radius, the Legacy Pro vehicle features a 16-hp air-cooled engine, automatic throttle control with speeds up to 12 mph, an ergonomic operator seat with engine kill switch, improved operator controls, a 12-volt power source, cup holder, rear cargo rack and headlight. The unit is designed for a variety of attachments such as front blade, scarifiers, cultivators, scraper blades and versatines. Dow AgroSciences LLC has unveiled its Dimension 2EW specialty herbicide, a sprayable version of its Dimension product. The formulation offers early post-emergence control of crabgrass, pre-emergence control of grassy and broadleaf weeds and sprayability over the top of landscape ornamentals. Formulated especially for established lawns, landscape ornamentals, golf courses and industrial sites, Dimension 2EW also can be used over the top of field-growth nursery ornamentals. Available in half-gallon, 2 ½-gallon and 30-gallon containers, the water-based Dimension 2EW contains 2 pounds of the active ingredient dithiopyr per gallon rather than the 1 pound active ingredient per gallon found in the EC formulation, the company says. To meet a growing demand for custom-blended fertilizers that use Milorganite as an ingredient, the product is now available as Milorganite 5-2-0 with iron. The company says the substance is 60 percent lighter than polyurethane fill and is designed for slower-speed, light-duty equipment such as riding lawn tractors, golf and utility cars, truck-mounted forklifts and other vehicles that do not exceed speeds of 15 mph. A liquid polymer designed to be injected into a new pneumatic tire assembly, UltraLite replaces all the air and solidifies into a lightweight flexible foam, resulting in flat-free and maintenance-free tires, the company adds. The Toro soil cultivator attachment for use on The Toro Co.’s Dingo compact utility loaders can transform rough terrain into a planting bed in a single pass, the company says. Designed for multiple applications such as seed and flower bed preparation, cultivating and leveling soil, blending landscape materials, seeding turfgrasses and renovating golf course tees and fairways, the soil cultivator comes optional with a seed box attachment to allow users to cultivate and seed simultaneously. A seed density selector lets operators accurately choose the amount of seed applied. A 36-inch operating width ensures job completion in tight, confined areas. The machine also features an adjustable grader bar and a high filtering grate to bury stones and other objects. An offset adjustable rear roller is said to eliminate ridges between machine passes. The Groundskeeper II from TRG Inc. is a rake designed for various applications such as debris cleanup, bunker grooming and leveling bedding material. The lightweight Groundskeeper II features a fiberglass handle, a no-break co-polymer head and a swivel hanger for easy storage. With a head length of 21 inches, a handle length of 55 inches and 28 tines, the rake allows users to dig without applying downward pressure, making it easy to use and minimizing any strain to the user’s back. Tines are made of music-grade spring wire and are replaceable. Cleaning is possible by flipping over the rake and pulling it back to remove leaves and other debris. Designed to store Worksaver grapples in an Peregrine, the latest fungicide on the market from Phoenix Environmental Care LLC, is a broad-spectrum fungicide that controls such major diseases as anthracnose, dollar spot, large brown patch, helminthsporium, pink and gray snow mold and gray leaf spot. The fungicide provides an optimal three-to-one ratio of chlorothalonil to thiophanate-methyl, two proven active ingredients combined in the formulation for systemic and contact activity, the company says. Available as a 66.7-percent WDG, Peregrine is sold in 5-pound resealable jugs. It can be used on landscape plantings for control of ovulinia blight, botrytis, downy and powdery mildew. Advan LLC recently introduced three new products: Eject 75 WDG quinclorac herbicide, Enforce imidacloprid insecticide and Phyte-Off plant nutrient. Eject 75 WDG provides extended post-emergence control of grassy and broadleaf weeds such as young and mature crabgrass, foxtail, barnyardgrass, clover, dandelion and speedwell. Applications may be made prior to or immediately following seeding, overseeding or sprigging, the company says. Enforce insecticide protects against white grubs, mole crickets, billbug larvae, annual bluegrass weevil, cutworms, chinchbugs and European crane fly. Best used as a preventive before egg lay, Enforce also offers curative action through second instar, the company adds. Phyte-Off, a foliar fertilizer with phosphorus in phosphate form, can be used as a starter fertilizer to advance a plant’s capacity to withstand and recover from stress. A geotextile fabric follows the contours of the ground, making it an easy-to-install system. The geotextile slowly releases trifluralin, a herbicide that works by creating a vapor zone where roots won’t grow. As a result, trees concentrate growth in branch roots, away from the trifluralin zone, which prompts roots to grow away from the zone if they begin to approach it. Designed specially to work in tight spaces, the 8-ton KX080-3 offers more than 14,000 pounds of break-out force. The first of Kubota’s excavators to come equipped with a direct-injection engine, the machine’s engine can drive 14,660 pounds of bucket force and 8,554 pounds of arm-crowd force while still delivering an easy startup to maintain fuel efficiency, the company says. It saves fuel and reduces noise and exhaust emissions through its auto-idling system, which adjusts engine revolutions per minute automatically. Twin auxiliary-service ports provide a hydraulic-flow rate up to 26 gpm. Other features include an ergonomic, user-centered cab, a two-speaker sound system, storage space, LCD control panel, rollover-protection structure, falling-object protection structure and a wide range of optional implements. Curveline Inc. has developed the capability to curve structural roof deck panels into S-curves, sine waves and other multiple radius concave/convex shapes. The company, which has a patented method for its crimp-curving of metal building panels, says S-curved roof decks can be used to embellish entrances, lobbies and covered walkways. S-shaped panels can be formed to measure up to 26 feet in length. A variety of exposed fastener roofing and siding panels also can be curved in this same style. New Holland has unveiled its new logo and new equipment decals, which were designed to reflect the brand’s tradition of leadership and innovation, the company says. The logo’s yellow background represents the company’s legacy as a leader of haytools and combine technology, while the blue UltraTech International Inc. offers its Ultra-GutterGuard Plus to keep silt, sediment, trash and debris from entering curb inlets. The multi-dimensional outer filter combines with a rigid inner frame to maintain a low profile and prevent damage from vehicle traffic. A 7-pound attachment inserts into the inlet to keep the unit upright and secure, the company says. Tie-back straps on both ends offer additional anchoring when used with sod pins or stakes. Available in many lengths and full- and half-heights, the Ultra-GutterGuard Plus is easy to clean and can be reused, the company adds. Powered by a 20-hp two-cylinder, air-cooled gasoline engine and a General Motors five-speed transmission and rear end, the Spray Star 1750 features the company’s next generation spray system components, computer controlled or standard electric application controls, an exclusive safe-fill system, ROPS and standard 4-wheel brakes. With a 5-gallon fuel capacity, the unit can drive up to 12 mph and offers reverse and automotive clutch drive features. All wheels include hydraulic drum brakes, and the parking brake is hand lever actuated. The fungicide offers broad-spectrum disease control for cool- and warm-season grasses, trees, shrubs and flowers, the company says. A micro-emulsion formula provides less odor, better tank stability and excellent plant coverage, it adds. Propiconazole is manufactured in adherence to environmental standards and with the technological chemical competencies of Quali-Pro’s parent company, Makhteshim-Agan Industries. The D6T features the company’s multi-velocity program, which gives the operator five speed ranges and automated speed control for performance in varying conditions. Its C9 engine includes ACERT technology, planetary powershift transmission, differential steering system, SystemOne undercarriage and the AccuGrade grade control system. Several different undercarriages are optional. The C9 engine is an inline six cylinder unit and delivers 185 hp at the flywheel and 200 hp with longer and wider undercarriage configurations, the company says. A new two-pump hydraulic system powers the steering system with one pump, and the implement circuit with a second pump. Zeba, a patented seed-coating technology from Absorbent Technologies Inc. has been selected by Barenbrug USA to be part of its new generation of bermudagrass seed. The new Barbados bermudagrass is available with Zeba technology built in to raise germination and improve seed establishment, the company says. Barbados, a grass known for its dark green color, exhibits a dense sward and excellent winter survivability, the company adds. Zeba is developed from natural cornstarch and is available specifically for improved turf production through a healthy microenvironment around the seed.
