If anyone should know that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side of the fence, it’s a golf course superintendent. But every year, a handful of outstanding course managers bid farewell to the industry, tackling new challenges ranging from home construction to business management.
In this month’s GCM, senior staff writer Terry Ostmeyer shares the stories of a few of these former superintendents — including one who eventually returned to golf course maintenance.
