Lucien E. Duval, 82, died Nov. 18, 2008. Born in 1926, Mr. Duval worked as a superintendent in Massachusetts for more than 20 years and also at Manchester (N.H.) Country Club and York (Maine) Golf & Tennis Club before retiring in 1995. A 50-year member of GCSAA, he was also a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Associations of New England, New Hampshire and Maine. Mr. Duval was a member of St. Christopher’s Church, a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus and was active in his community until he retired. He enjoyed golfing and working around the grounds of his home in York. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Duval; a daughter, Leslie Ann Goan and husband Stephen; a granddaughter Miranda Goan; two brothers, Fernand Duval and Normand Duval; three sisters, Therese Leonitis, Jacqueline Alves, and Marjorie Gosselin; and nieces and nephews. Donald S. Morehouse, 80, died June 15, 2008. Born in 1928, Mr. Morehouse attended Owosso (Mich.) High School and went on to attend Michigan State University. He worked at Dow Chemical in Midland, Mich., where he retired as a senior executive after 23 years of service. He is preceded in death by his daughter Heidi Krum, who was the second female PGA professional in the state of Michigan. She persuaded her father to come work for her at Grand Prairie Golf Course in Kalamazoo, where he moved with his family after he retired. He worked at Grand Prairie GC for 10 years. Mr. Morehouse’s survivors include four of his children: Scott Morehouse and wife Karen, Shannon Flumerfelt and husband Bill, Blane Morehouse and wife Kimberly, and Yasha Stelzner and husband Mark; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jack Morehouse and Bob Morehouse, a son-in-law, Jon Krum; and his wife, Joan (DeSander) Morehouse.
