So what if Lake Superior State University’s notable list of the year’s most overused words had “green” at the very top last year. For superintendents, being green and caring about the environmental impact of golf course maintenance is just part of the job. In this issue of GCM, we tip our hats to some of the greenest (sorry, Lake Superior) superintendents in our industry, the winners of both the President’s Award for Environmental Stewardship and the Environmental Leaders in Golf Awards.

This month’s cover photo features Silvertip Resort in Canmore, Alberta, Canada, which is maintained by one of those honorees, international ELGA winner Robin Sadler.
