New Narrowbanding Law goes into effect Jan. 1
Upcoming changes mandated by the Federal Communications Commission will impact more than the handheld radio systems many use to communicate with their crew, irrigation system and the like. By midnight Dec. 31, 2012, everyone using wideband VHF and UHF radio systems must either switch to narrowband (12.5 kHz channel spacing) or employ a technology that achieves equivalent efficiency.
The GCSAA and NGCOA hosted a one-hour webcast to learn more about these changes. It is now available On Demand.
