Delegates Meeting registration due Sept. 3
The 2013 Chapter Delegates Meeting will be held at GCSAA headquarters in Lawrence, Kan. Oct. 1-3. Attendees will hear thought-provoking sessions on the forces shaping the future of the golf industry and the association. Delegates will be asked to come prepared to help shape the future of their association. Learn more.

2013 Research Grant Program proposals due Oct. 11
GCSAA is now accepting research proposals to the 2013 Chapter Cooperative Research Grant Program. This program is made possible through the EIFG. GCSAA is seeking applied, problem solving projects that will assist superintendents and the facilities they manage address agronomic and environmental issues. Superintendents and turfgrass scientists are encouraged to work together to develop proposals. Learn more.

Apply for the 2013 ELGAs
Applications for the 2013 GCSAA/Golf Digest Environmental Leaders in Golf Awards will be available in early August The ELGAs, presented in partnership with Syngenta and Rain Bird, Golf Division, recognize golf course superintendents, golf courses and chapters for their commitment to environmental stewardship. Melrose Academy applications open through Sept. 15
Please let your members know about this excellent opportunity to build their leadership skills! The Melrose Leadership Academy supports the professional development of GCSAA member superintendents by providing individuals the opportunity to attend the GCSAA Education Conference and Golf Industry Show. The program is set up to provide up to 20 scholarships every year. Learn more.

Planning a meeting or event in Orlando?
If your chapter would like to host a meeting or event at one of the conference hotels, complete the Meeting Room/Function Space Request Form. Return the completed form to Judy Schelar, CMP, manager, conference events. Once approved the form is provided to the hotel(s) selected and the hotel staff will contact you directly to discuss the requirements for your event. Schelar can also provide the contact information for theme park representatives who are ready to help you plan functions at Disney World, Universal Studios or SeaWorld. Be sure and check out all host city has to offer by visiting the Orlando customized microsite.
